Passport: You must have a valid
passport with at least six months of validity and at least two blank pages for
stamping. You also must possess a scan copy of all your valid traveling
documents in USB or email.

Visa: Before traveling to India, you
must have six months of valid visa. These days Visa can be applied online which
is known as E-visa. There are three types of e Visa - e-Tourist Visa,
e-Business Visa and e-Medical Visa. A foreigner will be permitted to club these
categories. We also have visa on arrival for Finland, Japan, Luxembourg, New
Zealand, Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, Laos, Indonesia and Myanmar.
3) Medical: In
India it is essential to have up to date ten year boosters for diphtheria,
polio and tetanus. Typhoid jabs are optional. Malaria risk varies with the
season. In winter, there is a very low risk over most of the country however;
the use of anti-malarias is advised if you are traveling to the states of Assam
and Orissa and some areas of Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh where the risk
is higher.
If you taking any medical treatment, it is advisable that you
must carry your medical records and medication. Although, medical care is
excellent in metropolitan cities but care must be taken while traveling to the
country side. Just in case you require any medical help, you can immediately
fix an appointment with doctors/hospital through your travel agent or hotel.
4) Baggage: It is
always advisable to check the season and temperature in India before traveling.
It will be easy for you to decide if you have to carry for summers, winters or
rainy season. You must pack light baggage with more conservative cloths. You
must carry a scarf to cover your head while visiting religious places. A pair
of sports shoes, sun glasses, sun block, a hand sanitizer and cap.
5) Electronics: If
you are planning to carry laptop, camera then you must bring Generic adaptor. The
standard voltage is 230 V and the standard frequency is 50 Hz. Please remember
that India uses higher voltage than most of the western countries. For camera,
disposable batteries are easily available. You must have enough memory cards
for your camera. For charging mobiles, you must bring portable mobile charger.
6) Credit Cards/Currency:
Before traveling to India, you must inform your local bank about your traveling
plans, so that you can have an international validity with multiple currency
option. You also must carry some cash to pay for cabs, tips etc. At the
airport, hotels and restaurants, easy currency exchange is possible.
7) Attitude: India is
one of the most diverse nations of the world. It has more than ten religions, 2,000 different
languages and cultures. You will meet people from almost all walks of life.
Mostly, the Indian people are friendly, talkative and curious. While traveling
in trains, buses and monuments, they would love to interact with you. And if
you are blonde then photographs and selfies will always be their priority. Patience
is a virtue; do not be rude or aggressive. If you do not appreciate interacting
with the locals then a polite refusal will help you.
8) Safety: Overall
India is safe destination for all the travelers. At the same time, we advise you
to be a little prudent while traveling in public transport. Do not consume
eatables from strangers, no matter how friendly he/she becomes. Do not disclose
your personal information to strangers. If you are a solo female then avoid
going to dark and lonely places. Avoids very late night return to the hotels.
9) India is full of
surprises: In India, you might come across uncommon things like crazy
traffic, animals walking on the same road, clumsy queues, over loaded trucks
etc. We advise you to be open minded and enjoy every bit of your time and stay
