Miss Universe Great Britain 2018 Dee-Ann Kentish Rogers is on a five day visit to India from 28th October 2018 to 1st November 2018 as a part of her social responsibility to help acid attack survivors in India. It is part of her role as an ambassador for the A-Sisterhood charity which empowers, protects and supports women worldwide. During the day, she will visit the women in the Sheroes Hangout cafe they work in Agra and will also visit the Taj Mahal, one of the wonders of the world.
Miss Universe Great Britain crowned its first non white winner since the pageant began back in 1952. She will now represent the UK at the International Miss Universe competition that will be held in the Philippines this December. The 25-year-old hails from Anguilla and has competed against 40 women from England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and British overseas territories to win this prestigious title. 
In addition to studying to be a barrister, she also finished her final bar exam at the University of Birmingham. Besides this, she has previously competed at the Commonwealth Games on two occasions. However, she had to cease her athletic training due to a knee injury.
The Taj Mahal was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983. It is one of the Seven Wonders of the World which is considered as the most photogenic destinations of India. It is one of the most exquisite structures ever built by any emperor. It was constructed by the fifth Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in the fond memory of his favorite wife Mumtaj Mahal. The Taj Mahal in terms of architecture, is one of the most symmetrical structures in the world, constructed using pure white marble and adorned with precious and semi precious stones. The construction started in 1631 and got completed in 1653 AD; 20,000 workers worked day and night together for 22 years.

World renowned former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen recently visited the Taj Mahal with a group of friends. She visited the epitome of love in the early hours of the day to avoid crowds. She was dressed in black sportswear, she happily posed for all her admirers. She did not restricted people taking selfies with her. Last time she visited the city of Taj after being crowned as Miss Universe in 1994 for a photo shoot.
She was born on 19th November 1975. She is an Indian actress, model and beauty queen who was crowned Femina Miss India Universe in 1994 and she later won the Miss Universe 1994 contest at the age of 18. She is the first Indian woman to win the competition. Primarily known for her work in Hindi films, she has also appeared in Tamil and Bengali language films. She has won several accolades including a Filmfare Award. She has always performed a meaningful strong characters. She has set up a fantastic example for the society when she adopted two girls named Renee Sen and Alisah Sen.

Day 1Arrival in Goa

Today you will arrive at the Goa international airport. Goa is India’s smallest state by area and the fourth smallest by population. It is located in West India in the region known as the Konkan. Goa is India’s richest state with a GDP per capita two and a half times that of the country as a whole. It was ranked the best placed state by the Eleventh Finance Commission for its infrastructure and ranked on top for the best quality of life in India by the National Commission on Population based on the 12 Indicators. Day 2Full day sightseeing of Goa

After breakfast at the hotel, you will have a full day sightseeing. You will drive to Palolem beach along the scenic coastal drive. Visit the Betul Beach and Cape Rama Fort enroute to Palolem Beach. Thereafter if time permits, then you will visit the Cotigao Wild Life Sanctuary. On your way back, you will visit Sri Mallikarjun temple. An overnight stay in Goa.

Day 3Visit of Madgao, Rachol Seminary and Dudhsagar Falls

After breakfast, you will drive to Madgao. You will Visit the Holy Spirit Church in Madgao. Drive further to visit Rachol Seminary and then continue to Ponda. You will also visit the Mangeshi temple and Shanta-Durga temple. Thereafter, you will drive down to a spice plantation. In the evening, you will drive to the Dudhsagar Fall. An overnight stay in Goa.

Day 4Visit South Goa and North Goa

After breakfast, you will drive down to Panjim – Capital of Goa. Visit the local market and continue to Old Goa and then you will visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site; the Basilica holds the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier. The Jesuit church is India’s first Minor Basilica, and is considered as one of the best examples of baroque architecture in India.
Then you will visit Se Cathedral which was built to commemorate the victory of the Portuguese under Alfonzo de Albuquerque over a Muslim army, leading to the capture of the city of Goa in 1510. Since the day of the victory happened to be on the feast of Saint Catherine, the cathedral was dedicated to her. The cathedral originally had two towers, but one collapsed in 1776 and was never rebuilt.
At the end you will visit the Church of St. Francis of Assisi. There are three tier facade octagonal towers on each side and in the central niche there is a statue of St. Michael. The main entrance is decorated with circular pilasters and rosette band. The central nave is barrel-vaulted while the crossing is rib-vaulted which supports the choir. The internal buttress walls, separating the chapels and supporting the gallery on top, have frescoes showing floral designs. Above the tabernacle in the main altar is a large statue of St. Francis of Assisi and Jesus on the cross, statues of St. Peter and St. Paul are seen below. The adjoining walls of nave retain painted panels depicting scenes from the life of St Francis of Assisi.After your visit to the churches, continue to drive on the national highway till Parnem to the extreme north of Goa to the Tiracol Fort. Day 5Exploring North Goa!

After breakfast, you will explore the famous beaches of North Goa – Harmal (Aramboli), Vagaator, Baga and Calangute. Also you will visit the two famous forts of Chapora it occupies an important position which, in every direction commanded distant approaches. Rising above the wide Chapora River, long before the Portuguese arrived in Goa, was a fort in place of the present one built. Even after the Portuguese acquired Bardez, the fort changed hands several times and was much sought after. And Aguada was the most prized and crucial fort of Portuguese. The fort is so large that it envelops the entire peninsula at the south western tip of Bardez. Itinerary

Day 1Welcome to Delhi!

You will arrive at the Delhi Airport. Delhi is India’s national capital and the second largest metropolis after Mumbai. Delhi has been continuously inhabited since the 6th century BC. Through most of its history, Delhi has served as a capital of various kingdoms and empires. It has been captured, ransacked and rebuilt several times, particularly during the medieval period, and modern Delhi is a cluster of a number of cities spread across the metropolitan region. Day 2Whole day tour of Old and New Delhi.

On your first day you will explore the old and new city of Delhi. You’ll drive past the 100-foot, red-stone boundary walls of Red Fort built during the 17th century. Opposite this ancient structure is the Jama Masjid (Jama Mosque), built in 1656 AD, construction of red sandstone and white marble. It is the largest mosque in India where 20,000 people can pray together. You will also tour the town the streets in a Rickshaw ride. Along the streets of old Delhi you will see the Raj Ghat, Mahatma Gandhi’s (Father of the Nation) Memorial, which is close to the river Yamuna. Next, you will visit the Humayun Tomb, tomb of the second Mughal emperor, which was completed by his wife during the 16th century. It runs counter to Rashtrapati Bhawan, the residence of the President of India. There you’ll also see the Government Buildings & Parliament and India Gate which is 130-foot wall built in memory of the soldiers who died during the First World War. You will also visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site – Qutub Minar Complex. The Qutub Minar, a 220-foot tower made by one of the first Muslim leaders in India, was built between 1199 and 1368 AD. Day 3Exploring the religious side of India.

India is the land of many religions so to explore the religious side of our mystic country, after an early breakfast; today you will visit Gurudwara Bangla Sahib which is the most prominent Sikh Gurudwara, or Sikh house of worship, in Delhi, known for its association with the eighth Sikh Guru, Guru Har Krishan, and the pond inside its complex, known as the “Sarovar”, whose water is considered holy by Sikhs and is known as “Amrit”. It was first built as a small temple by Sikh General, Sardar Bhagel Singh in 1783, who supervised the construction of nine Sikh shrines in Delhi in the same year, during the reign of Mughal Emperor Shah Alam II. Then you will visit Akshardham is a Hindu temple complex in Delhi, India. Also referred to as Delhi Akshardham or Swaminarayan Akshardham, the complex displays millennia of traditional Indian and Hindu culture, spirituality and architecture. The building was inspired and moderated by Pramukh Swami Maharaj, the spiritual head of the Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha, whose 3,000 volunteers helped 7,000 artisans construct Akshardham.
The next place that you’ll visit is The Lotus temple (a.k.a Bahá’í Temple) which is open to all, regardless of any religion, or any other distinction, as emphasized in Bahá’í texts. The Bahá’í laws emphasize that the spirit of the House of Worship be that it is a gathering place where people of all religions may worship God without denominational restrictions. The Bahá’í laws also stipulate that only the holy scriptures of the Bahá’í Faith and other religions can be read or chanted inside in any language; while readings and prayers can be set to music by choirs, no musical instruments can be played inside. Furthermore no sermons can be delivered, and there can be no ritualistic ceremonies practiced. An overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 4Drive to Agra (199 km, 4-5 hours)

After breakfast, you will drive to Agra. On the way you will visit Sikandra, the amazing grave of Akbar, the most influential of all Mughal emperors. The grave lies 10 km before Agra. Agra is placed on the deposits of the Yamuna River and was under the Mughal rulers during the 16th and 17th centuries.
After arrival in Agra, transfer to hotel for refreshment. Afterwards, you will visit Agra Fort at the west bank of the Yamuna River. The Agra fort was built in the 16th century by Akbar and was completed by his grandson. An overnight stay in Agra.

Day 5Exploring Agra!

Today, early in the morning you will visit the world-famous Taj Mahal (1631-1653). This amazing piece of architecture made of white-colored marble, was built by Mughal ruler Shah Jahan for his departed wife Mumtaz Mahal. Its architecture reveals why it’s one of the Seven Wonders of the World. For 22 years, 20,000 expert workers from Italy, France, Iran and Asia worked on the memorial. Return to hotel for breakfast.
Afternoon you will visit Itmad-ud-daula, also known as baby Taj. Finally you will see Taj Mahal once again, but now this time from the other side of the river, from the place called Mehtab Bagh.
In the evening, you will have a Cultural Exchange Program with an Indian family, followed by complementary dinner. An overnight stay in Agra.

Day 6Visit to Fatehpur Sikri, Bharatpur Bird Sanctury and Drive to Ranthambore (250 km, 4-5 hours)

After the breakfast, you will drive to the Wildlife National Park of Ranthambore, which is world famous for its Tigers. This national park is also one of the best places in the world to photograph the tiger in its natural surroundings. En route you’ll visit Fatehpur Sikri (22 miles from Agra), the former metropolitan of Akbar, built in 1569. Akbar shifted his capital to Fatehpur Sikri, but after 13 years due to the scarcity of water, the capital was moved to Lahore in Pakistan and later again to Agra. Once you arrive at Ranthambore. You will be transferred to your hotel. An overnight stayin Ranthambore.
Optional: On the way to Ranthambore you can also visit Keoladeo Bird Sanctuary, UNESCO World natural heritage site, known for its migrated birds from all over the world.

Day 7Morning and Evening Jungle Safari in Ranthambore National Park

You will get up very early so you can start your Jungle safari accompanied by a naturalist. After your three-hour safari through the Wildlife National Park of Ranthambore you will come back to your hotel for breakfast. In the afternoon, after lunch, you will return to the jungle to enjoy the wildlife surroundings. You will return to your hotel for a dinner. An overnight stay in Ranthambore.

Day 8Drive to Jaipur (150 km, 3 hours)

After breakfast, you will drive to Jaipur, the “Pink City”. Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. Afternoon you will visit the Pink city Jaipur. The city Palace built in 1734 lies in the center of Jaipur and is now the residence of the royal family of Jaipur and a beautiful museum. After that you will visit Jantar Mantar, an observatory. It was built in the 18th century by the city founder Jai Singh II. The instruments are out of stone and marble and served to the sky observation.
In the evening an excursion to Nahargarh Tiger Fort, to have the bird’s eye view of Jaipur city. Return to hotel for overnight stay. An Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 9Explore! Jaipur

Today you will drive to Fort Amber (10 km), the former capital of Kachhawaha Rajputs. On the way, you will stop to visit the city’s landmark: the Hawa Mahal (palace of the winds). Built during the 18th century, the five-story building features 953 windows and niches from which the royal women observed the procession in the street without being seen. Next you will visit Amber Fort, which lies on 400-foot-tall hill and is surrounded by the chain of mountains known as Aravalli. You will ascend the fort on an elephant back like a Maharaja. Then, you will visit Albert Museum.
In the evening you will visit Chokidhani Village Resort for fun and dinner. It is a fun-filled resort that depicts the true picture of Indian Rajasthan village Culture. Spread over 10 acres of beautifully landscaped area for a rustic look, it is dotted with machaans & platforms where different folk artists perform concurrently. A village fair is created every evening as an ongoing celebration of the rich & vibrant cultural heritage of Rajasthan. You will see their Acrobatics on a Bamboo, The Puppet Show, The Magic Show, Living amalgam of a snake and a girl etc. An overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 10Drive to Pushkar via Ajmer (140 km., 2-3 hours)

You will travel on to the pilgrimage site of Pushkar, one of the holiest sites of the Hindus, which is dedicated to God Brahma. En route visit Ajmer Mosque. Pilgrims travel many miles to the holy lake of Pushkar, to take a ritual bath at the Ghats (steps leading to lake or river). The Brahma temple is the most important and one of only three temples in India that is dedicated to this deity. You will spend the afternoon sightseeing Pushkar. An overnight stay in Pushkar.

Day 11From Pushkar to Jodhpur (210 km., 4-5 hours)

After breakfast, you will drive to Jodhpur. Jodhpur is the second largest city in Rajasthan and once the capital of the Marwar. After arrival, transfer to hotel for Lunch. Afterwards start the sightseeing of Jodhpur. You will visit Fort Mehrangarh, which is world known for its beauty. Today the city lies around the imposing Mehrangarh fort. The Mehrangarh fort was built in 1459 on a 110-foot-tall sandstone hill. From the top of the hill you can see the old town and the priests’ houses painted blue which gives the town the name of “blue city”. You will then travel on to Jaswant Thada, a large Cenotaph, which was built in 1899 for Maharajah Jaswant Singh II. After lunch, you can stroll through the old markets, where you can also buy various spices for yourself. You will return to your hotel for dinner. An overnight stay in Jodhpur.

Day 12From Jodhpur to Mount Abu (265 km., 5-6 hours)

Early morning, after breakfast, you will drive to Mount Abu. After arrival, transfer to hotel. Mount Abu is Rajasthan only Hill station and an important Jain-Pilgrimage place. Jain-temples, especially the Dilwara-temples are nationwide well known. The fine stone working attracts visitors here and one must have seen it in order to believe it. Further interesting places are Achalgarh-fort, Sunset Point and the Nakki-lake for the boat ride. An overnight stay in Mount Abu.

Day 13Drive to Udaipur (165 km, 2-3 hours)

In the morning after breakfast, you will drive to Udaipur which lies in the Girwa valley in the middle of the Aravali hill and is described as a romantic city with its lakes, gardens, temple and palaces. After arrival in Udaipur, you will visit the city palace built in 1570 AD by Maharana Udai Singh at the bank of the Pichola Lake. This impressive complex of different palaces is a mixture of Rajput and Mughal influences. You will then visit the Jagdish temple. Built in 1651 AD this temple is a beautiful example of the Nagara style temple architecture. You will also enjoy a boat trip on the Pichola Lake. An overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day 14Flight from Udaipur to Delhi.

Afternoon, after lunch you will check out from the hotel and will be transferred to Udaipur airport for flight to Delhi.

In the month of October 2018, the Taj Mahal will be open for the night viewing from 22nd October to 26th October 2018. It is open two days before and two days after the full moon. The tickets are booked 24 hours in advance. The visitor is required to fill up a detailed form along with the copy of their passport.
Altogether, 400 tourists are permitted per night for the visit. The 400 tourists are divided into a batch of 50. There are only eight batches. The timings for the night view commences from 8:30 PM to 12:30 AM according to the Indian Standard Time.
WHAT IS NOT ALLOWED INSIDE THE TAJ MAHAL
There are certain things which are not permitted inside the Taj Mahal. Any electronic gadget apart from your camera and mobile phone, eatables, wires, any sharp article like swiss knife, nail cutter, no religious books except travel guide books, match box, lighter, cigarette, liquor, and any promotional material.
HOW TO CLICK PHOTOGRAPHS DURING NIGHT VIEWING
The night viewing is one of the most breath taking, life time experience. The Taj is not lit up by artificial lights. It is the moonlight that lit up the entire structure. The time duration per batch is only 30 minutes, so normal photography will not be possible. In order to capture the moment, first change your camera or mobile to night vision mode. And then click the photographs. Another thing is that you will not be able to take selfie.

Recently, renowned Hollywood star Will Smith is currently in India. After completing the shooting of “Student of The Year 2” and partying with many Bollywood actors, he left for Agra. He visited Taj with his family and mentioned in the visitor’s diary “Wah Taj“. He also mentioned that it was his childhood wish to come and visit the Taj Mahal. Pictures of the actor having a gala time in Agra have floated online. Will was clicked striking some poses in front of the Taj Mahal. The actor seemed excited to be there and made sure he took some crazy pictures to keep the memory fresh always. He happily allowed his fans to click photographs with him.  After all, the Taj Mahal is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and is all about love.
The actor also made a quick trip to Haridwar and Rishikesh. He has performed rudrabhishek in Haridwar and participated in the Ganga Aarti.
Will Smith was quite surprised to see his huge Indian fan following. He has acted in some of the best movies like Independence Day, Men in Black series, Enemy of the State and many more.
