Day 1Welcome to Delhi!

You will arrive at the Delhi Airport. Delhi is India’s national capital and the second largest metropolis after Mumbai. Delhi has been continuously inhabited since the 6th century BC. Through most of its history, Delhi has served as a capital of various kingdoms and empires. It has been captured, ransacked and rebuilt several times, particularly during the medieval period, and modern Delhi is a cluster of a number of cities spread across the metropolitan region. An overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 2Whole day tour of Old and New Delhi.

On your first day you will explore the old and new city of Delhi. You’ll drive past the 100-foot, red-stone boundary walls of Red Fort built during the 17th century. Opposite this ancient structure is the Jama Masjid (Jama Mosque), built in 1656 AD, construction of red sandstone and white marble. It is the largest mosque in India where 20,000 people can pray together. You will also tour the town the streets in a Rickshaw ride. Along the streets of old Delhi you will see the Raj Ghat, Mahatma Gandhi’s (Father of the Nation) Memorial, which is close to the river Yamuna. Next, you will visit the Humayun Tomb, tomb of the second Mughal emperor, which was completed by his wife during the 16th century. It runs counter to Rashtrapati Bhawan, the residence of the President of India. There you’ll also see the Government Buildings & Parliament and India Gate which is 130-foot wall built in memory of the soldiers who died during the First World War. You will also visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site – Qutub Minar Complex. The Qutub Minar, a 220-foot tower made by one of the first Muslim leaders in India, was built between 1199 and 1368 AD. In the evening, return to hotel. An overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 3Exploring the religious side of India.

India is the land of many religions so to explore the religious side of our mystic country, after an early breakfast; today you will visit Gurudwara Bangla Sahib which is the most prominent Sikh Gurudwara, or Sikh house of worship, in Delhi, known for its association with the eighth Sikh Guru, Guru Har Krishan, and the pond inside its complex, known as the “Sarovar”, whose water is considered holy by Sikhs and is known as “Amrit”. It was first built as a small temple by Sikh General, Sardar Bhagel Singh in 1783, who supervised the construction of nine Sikh shrines in Delhi in the same year, during the reign of Mughal Emperor Shah Alam II. Then you will visit Akshardham is a Hindu temple complex in Delhi, India. Also referred to as Delhi Akshardham or Swaminarayan Akshardham, the complex displays millennia of traditional Indian and Hindu culture, spirituality and architecture. The building was inspired and moderated by Pramukh Swami Maharaj, the spiritual head of the Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha, whose 3,000 volunteers helped 7,000 artisans construct Akshardham.
The next place that you’ll visit is The Lotus temple (a.k.a Bahá’í Temple) which is open to all, regardless of any religion, or any other distinction, as emphasized in Bahá’í texts. The Bahá’í laws emphasize that the spirit of the House of Worship be that it is a gathering place where people of all religions may worship God without denominational restrictions. The Bahá’í laws also stipulate that only the holy scriptures of the Bahá’í Faith and other religions can be read or chanted inside in any language; while readings and prayers can be set to music by choirs, no musical instruments can be played inside. Furthermore no sermons can be delivered, and there can be no ritualistic ceremonies practiced. An overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 4Drive to Agra (199 km, 4-5 hours)

After breakfast, you will drive to Agra. On the way you will visit Sikandra, the amazing grave of Akbar, the most influential of all Mughal emperors. The grave lies 10 km before Agra. Agra is placed on the deposits of the Yamuna River and was under the Mughal rulers during the 16th and 17th centuries.
After arrival in Agra, transfer to hotel for refreshment. Afterwards, you will visit Agra Fort at the west bank of the Yamuna River. The Agra fort was built in the 16th century by Akbar and was completed by his grandson. An overnight stay in Agra.

Day 5Exploring Agra!

Today, early in the morning you will visit the world-famous Taj Mahal (1631-1653). This amazing piece of architecture made of white-colored marble, was built by Mughal ruler Shah Jahan for his departed wife Mumtaz Mahal. Its architecture reveals why it’s one of the Seven Wonders of the World. For 22 years, 20,000 expert workers from Italy, France, Iran and Asia worked on the memorial. Return to hotel for breakfast.
Afternoon you will visit Itmad-ud-daula, also known as baby Taj. Finally you will see Taj Mahal once again, but now this time from the other side of the river, from the place called Mehtab Bagh.
In the evening, you will have a Cultural Exchange Program with an Indian family, followed by complementary dinner. An overnight stay in Agra.

Day 6Visit to Fatehpur Sikri, Bharatpur Bird Sanctury and Drive to Ranthambore (250 km, 4-5 hours)

After the breakfast, you will drive to the Wildlife National Park of Ranthambore, which is world famous for its Tigers. This national park is also one of the best places in the world to photograph the tiger in its natural surroundings. En route you’ll visit Fatehpur Sikri (22 miles from Agra), the former metropolitan of Akbar, built in 1569. Akbar shifted his capital to Fatehpur Sikri, but after 13 years due to the scarcity of water, the capital was moved to Lahore in Pakistan and later again to Agra. Once you arrive at Ranthambore. You will be transferred to your hotel. An overnight stayin Ranthambore.
Optional: On the way to Ranthambore you can also visit Keoladeo Bird Sanctuary, UNESCO World natural heritage site, known for its migrated birds from all over the world.

Day 7Morning and Evening Jungle Safari in Ranthambore National Park

You will get up very early so you can start your Jungle safari accompanied by a naturalist. After your three-hour safari through the Wildlife National Park of Ranthambore you will come back to your hotel for breakfast. In the afternoon, after lunch, you will return to the jungle to enjoy the wildlife surroundings. You will return to your hotel for a dinner. An overnight stay in Ranthambore.

Day 8Drive to Jaipur (150 km, 3 hours)

After breakfast, you will drive to Jaipur, the “Pink City”. Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. Afternoon you will visit the Pink city Jaipur. The city Palace built in 1734 lies in the center of Jaipur and is now the residence of the royal family of Jaipur and a beautiful museum. After that you will visit Jantar Mantar, an observatory. It was built in the 18th century by the city founder Jai Singh II. The instruments are out of stone and marble and served to the sky observation.
In the evening an excursion to Nahargarh Tiger Fort, to have the bird’s eye view of Jaipur city. Return to hotel for overnight stay. An Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 9Explore! Jaipur

Today you will drive to Fort Amber (10 km), the former capital of Kachhawaha Rajputs. On the way, you will stop to visit the city’s landmark: the Hawa Mahal (palace of the winds). Built during the 18th century, the five-story building features 953 windows and niches from which the royal women observed the procession in the street without being seen. Next you will visit Amber Fort, which lies on 400-foot-tall hill and is surrounded by the chain of mountains known as Aravalli. You will ascend the fort on an elephant back like a Maharaja. Then, you will visit Albert Museum.
In the evening you will visit Chokidhani Village Resort for fun and dinner. It is a fun-filled resort that depicts the true picture of Indian Rajasthan village Culture. Spread over 10 acres of beautifully landscaped area for a rustic look, it is dotted with machaans & platforms where different folk artists perform concurrently. A village fair is created every evening as an ongoing celebration of the rich & vibrant cultural heritage of Rajasthan. Day 10Drive to Pushkar via Ajmer (140 km., 2-3 hours)

You will travel on to the pilgrimage site of Pushkar, one of the holiest sites of the Hindus, which is dedicated to God Brahma. En route visit Ajmer Mosque. Pilgrims travel many miles to the holy lake of Pushkar, to take a ritual bath at the Ghats (steps leading to lake or river). The Brahma temple is the most important and one of only three temples in India that is dedicated to this deity. You will spend the afternoon sightseeing Pushkar. An overnight stay in Pushkar.

Day 11From Pushkar to Jodhpur (210 km., 4-5 hours)

After breakfast, you will drive to Jodhpur. Jodhpur is the second largest city in Rajasthan and once the capital of the Marwar. After arrival, transfer to hotel for Lunch. Afterwards start the sightseeing of Jodhpur. You will visit Fort Mehrangarh, which is world known for its beauty. Today the city lies around the imposing Mehrangarh fort. The Mehrangarh fort was built in 1459 on a 110-foot-tall sandstone hill. From the top of the hill you can see the old town and the priests’ houses painted blue which gives the town the name of “blue city”. You will then travel on to Jaswant Thada, a large Cenotaph, which was built in 1899 for Maharajah Jaswant Singh II. After lunch, you can stroll through the old markets, where you can also buy various spices for yourself. You will return to your hotel for dinner. An overnight stay in Jodhpur.

Day 12From Jodhpur to Mount Abu (265 km., 5-6 hours)

Early morning, after breakfast, you will drive to Mount Abu. After arrival, transfer to hotel. Mount Abu is Rajasthan only Hill station and an important Jain-Pilgrimage place. Jain-temples, especially the Dilwara-temples are nationwide well known. The fine stone working attracts visitors here and one must have seen it in order to believe it. Further interesting places are Achalgarh-fort, Sunset Point and the Nakki-lake for the boat ride. An overnight stay in Mount Abu.

Day 13Drive to Udaipur (165 km, 2-3 hours)

In the morning after breakfast, you will drive to Udaipur which lies in the Girwa valley in the middle of the Aravali hill and is described as a romantic city with its lakes, gardens, temple and palaces. After arrival in Udaipur, you will visit the city palace built in 1570 AD by Maharana Udai Singh at the bank of the Pichola Lake. This impressive complex of different palaces is a mixture of Rajput and Mughal influences. You will then visit the Jagdish temple. Built in 1651 AD this temple is a beautiful example of the Nagara style temple architecture. You will also enjoy a boat trip on the Pichola Lake. An overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day 14Flight from Udaipur to Delhi.

Afternoon, after lunch you will check out from the hotel and will be transferred to Udaipur airport for flight to Delhi.

Amidst tight security arrangements, the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau visited the Taj Mahal. He landed in India with his family for a week-long visit on Saturday. However, chief minister Yogi Adityanath or any other minister from his cabinet was not there to receive
Traffic restrictions were imposed on the route that the Canadian Prime Minister took to the Taj. The ASI decided to shut the Taj Mahal to the general public between 9:40 am and 11:40 am during Trudeau’s visit.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, his wife Sophie Gregoire Trudeau, their daughter Ella Grace and sons Hadrien and Xavier spend over one hour at the Taj Mahal, accompanied by a delegation of Canadian officials and the media. Trudeau reached Kheria airbase by a special royal Canadian Air Force plane at 9:50 am. He traveled to Shilpgram by road and then he visited the monument.
Trudeau and his family sat on the iconic Diana bench. In the visitor’s book he mentioned “Thank you for the wonderful visit to one of the most beautiful place in the world”
The main objective of Prime Minister Trudeau’s visit to India is to expand overall ties between the two countries with a focus on defense and security, counter-terror cooperation, trade and investment, and tackling climate change. Both countries are also expected to deliberate on enhancing cooperation in the civil nuclear sector. A number of Justin Trudeau’s cabinet colleagues including Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland, Science and Economic Development Minister Navdeep Bains, Defence Minister Harjit Singh Sajjan, Science and Sports Minister Kirsty Duncan and Infrastructure Minister Amarjeet Sohi are also visiting India. The ties between India and Canada have been rising steadily. Approximately 1.4 million Canadians are of Indian origin and India is Canada’s second largest source of immigrants.
The Taj Mahal was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983. It is one of the Seven Wonders of the World which is considered as the most photogenic destinations of India. It is one of the most exquisite structures ever built by any emperor. It was constructed by the fifth Mughal emperor in the fond memory of his favorite wife Mumtaj Mahal. The Taj Mahal in terms of architecture, is one of the most symmetrical structures in the world, constructed using pure white marble and adorned with precious and semi precious stones. The construction started in 1631 and got completed in 1653 AD; 20,000 workers worked day and night together for 22 years.

Itinerary

Day 1Arrival at Cochin!

Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, you will first stop at the St. Francis Church, built in 1503 by the Portuguese. Then you’ll visit the Mattancherry Palace or “Dutch Palace” built by the Dutch and later on handed over to the local king. At the harbor, you can see unique Chinese fishing nets, which marks the visit of Chinese people in Cochin. You’ll also visit the Jewish Synagogue, built in 1558. Around the Synagogue, you can buy many antique things. After that, you will return to your hotel. An overnight stay in Cochin.

Day 2Drive to Alleppey (75 km, 2 hours)

After the breakfast in Cochin, you will drive to Alleppey (Alappuzha), where you will check in your Private Houseboat. From here you can start your private overnight houseboat trip to Kumarakom. The entire day will be spent in the Backwaters where breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served. Here, you will glide along the canals and observe the daily life of the Kerala people living on the banks of Backwaters. At night you will settle down to spend it in the house boat on the lake. Day 3Sail to Kumarakom (30 minutes)

Day 4Drive to Periyar (Thekkady) (114 km, 3 hours)

After breakfast you’ll drive to Thekkady. This trip through the mountains, spice plantations and tea plantations will definitely energize your senses. On the way you’ll visit a Spice Farm, where you can see various spice plantations such as cardamom, cinnamon, pepper, peppermint, clove, vanilla, ginger, chili, tea and coffee plants.
Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel for rest and refreshment. In the late afternoon you’ll enjoy a boat trip in Periyar Wildlife National Park. This park is one of the world’s best places to see elephants in their natural surroundings. Day 5Drive to Munnar (100 km, 3 hours)

After breakfast you will drive to Munnar. Munnar is over 5000-foot-high mountain station surrounded by a stretch of mountains covered with 1, 20,000 hectares of tea plantations. Munnar is the trade center for special teas, lying on one of the world’s highest cultivating areas. You can see the rare Nilgiri Tahr (a type of mountain goat), enjoy the panorama, or climb the cliffs of Anamudi (2695 meters), south India’s highest mountain tip. An overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 6Drive to Mararikulam Beach (160 km, 4 hours)

After breakfast, you will drive to your beach hotel of Mararikulam. Mararikulam is considered one of the best beaches of India. It is not so commercialized like beaches of Goa and Kovalam. Rest of the day is at leisure. An overnight stay in Mararikulam.

Day 7Departure from Cochin

Day 3Sightseeing of Varanasi and drive to Allahabad (125 km, 2-3 hours)

Early in the morning you can enjoy a boat ride on the river Ganges. You can watch the golden sunrise and see hundreds of people worshiping and taking bath in the holy river. You will then return to your hotel for breakfast.
Afterwards you will tour the old city and visit temples including Kashi Hindu University where more than fifty thousand students from all over the world are enrolled. Also, visit the fort on the bank of the river Ganges. Most of the part of this fort is now converted into a beautiful museum. An overnight stay in Allahabad.

Day 4Sightseeing of Allahabad and drive to Khajuraho (269 km, 4-5 hours)

After an early breakfast, you will visit the Allahabad fort stands on the banks of the Yamuna near the confluence with the river Ganges. It is the largest Fort built by Akbar. In its prime, the fort was unrivaled for its design, construction and craftsmanship. This huge fort has three galleries flanked by high towers. Then you will visit Sangam, which has two physical rivers Ganges, Yamuna, and the invisible or mythic Saraswati River. A place of religious importance and the site for historic Kumbh Mela held every 12 years, over the years it has also been the site of immersion of ashes of several national leaders, including Mahatma Gandhi in 1948.
Swaraj Bhavan (formerly Anand Bhavan) is a large mansion located in Allahabad, India. It was owned by Indian political leader Motilal Nehru in the 19th century, it has served as the ancestral home of the Nehru-Gandhi Family.
After lunch you will drive to Khajuraho. An overnight stay in Khajuraho.

Day 5Sightseeing of Khajuraho and drive to Jhansi (175 km 3-4 hours)

In morning after breakfast, you will visit the Eastern and Western group of temples. The figures and sculptures in these temples are in honor of women and love making. These temples are around 1000 years old and the only of its kind in the whole world.
After lunch, you will drive to Jhansi. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel. An overnight stay in Jhansi.

Day 6Sightseeing of Jhansi and train to Agra

In the morning after breakfast, you will visit The fort of Jhansi was built in 1613, by Raja Bir Singh Judao (1606-27) of Orchha. This fort is built on a rocky hill and the city of Jhansi is around this fort. During the earlier days, Wall of the fort was all around Jhansi city. This Wall has ten gates. Some of these gates still existing and some vanished with time.
Once served as the abode of Rani Lakshmi Bai Palace, the palace is a double storied structure with flat roofs, arched chambers and open courtyards. This beautiful edifice of a past legacy encompasses six halls, with parallel verandas. The palace had witnessed one of the fierce battles of the freedom struggle in which 50 body guards of queen were killed by the English Army.
After Lunch, you will be transferred to the railway station for train to Agra.

After the breakfast, you will drive to Rishikesh via Delhi.

Day 10Full day sightseeing of Rishikesh

Today, in the morning after breakfast, you will go for the sightseeing. Firstly, you will visit Triveni Ghat, it is a bathing ghat. Daily in the morning and evening there are thousands who take bath here and enjoy the Maha Aarti. It is very soothing to sit on the banks of the river and enjoy the cool breeze. Later, you can indulge in water sports – White Water Rafting Rishikesh is very popular for river rafting on the River Ganga (Ganges). Season: September-November and March-April-May are ideal for rafting. The rafting will go on for several kilometers, and the path is interspersed with rapids, ranging from Level 1 to Level 5, in order of difficulty. At the end of the trip, you have the option of jumping some 20 feet from a ledge into the water. An overnight stay in Rishikesh.

Day 11Drive back to Delhi (228 km, 4-5 hours)

Day 3Explore Delhi once again and then drive to Jaipur (265 km, 5-6 hours)

Today after breakfast and check out from the hotel, you will go for the sightseeing of Delhi. Today your day will experience the religious side of India, because you will visit different temples dedicated to different religions of India. First you will visit Akshardham Temple, the largest temple complex of India. It is considered to be the most beautiful Temple of India, and one of the architectural wonders, as the whole Temple is built without the use of any cement and lime. Technology of interlocking of stones has been used in this temple. It also boasts off 150 kilo Gold Statue, the main shrine in the temple. Later you will visit Sikh Temple, dedicated to Sikh Religion in India.
Then it’s on to Jaipur, the capital of the state Rajasthan. It is also well known as the “Pink City” because the houses’ facade and city wall are all pink. After your arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. An overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 4Explore! Jaipur

After an early breakfast you will drive to fort Amber (10 km), the former capital of Kachhawaha Rajputs. On the way, you will stop to visit the city’s landmark: the Hawa Mahal (palace of the winds). Built during the 18th century, the five-story building features 953 windows and niches from which the royal women observed the procession in the street without being seen. Next you will visit Amber fort, which lies on 400-foot-tall hill and is surrounded by the chain of mountains known as Aravalli. You will ascend the fort on an elephant back like a Maharaja. Afterwards you will visit the Pink city Jaipur. The City Palace built in 1734 lies in the center of Jaipur and is now the residence of the royal family of Jaipur and a beautiful museum. After that you will visit Jantar Mantar, an observatory. It was built in the 18th century by the city founder Jai Singh II. The instruments are out of stone and marble and served to explore the night skies. In the evening, you will visit Nahargarh Tiger Fort to experience beautiful view and sunset over Jaipur. You will then return to your hotel. An overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 5From Jaipur to Ranthambore (145 km, 3-4 hours)

Today you will drive to Sawai Madhopur to visit Ranthambore National Park, which is world famous for its Tigers. After arrival, transfer to your hotel in Ranthambore. Afternoon, you will go for your first Jeep safari in the Ranthambore National Park. In the evening return to the hotel. An overnight stay in Ranthambore.

Day 6Ranthambore Tour (Safari to Jungle with Jeep)

Your day will be dedicated for a jungle safari by jeep canter through Ranthambore National Park. You will be accompanied by a naturalist who can explain the wildlife, plants and other sites that you will see during the Safari. In late morning, you can visit the Ranthambore Fort, whose foundation was made 1000 years ago. You may encounter a tiger at the fort as they love to live in it during the hot hours of the day.
Afternoon again, you will again go for your Jeep safari in the Ranthambore National Park. In evening you will return to the hotel. An overnight stay in Ranthambore.

Day 7From Ranthambore to Agra (270 km, 5 hours)

Today you will drive to Agra. En route you will visit Keoladeo National Park, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site and famous for different bird species. 20 km ahead, you will also visit Fatehpur Sikri (36 km from Agra), the former metropolitan of Akbar, built in 1569. Akbar moved the capital to Fatehpur Sikri, but after 13 years due to the scarcity of water, the capital was shifted to Lahore in Pakistan and later again to Agra. You will continue your drive to Agra. After arrival in Agra, transfer to hotel. An overnight stay in Agra.

Day 8Explore Agra!

At sunrise, you will visit the world renowned Taj Mahal (built between 1631to 1653 AD). A poem in white marble it was built by Mughal ruler Shah Jahan for his deceased wife Mumtaz Mahal. Its extravagant architecture reveals its secret of being one of the Seven Wonders of the World. 20,000 workers with experts from Italy, France, Iran and Asia were busied for 22 years with the monument.Return to hotel for breakfast.
Afterwards you will visit the huge and massive Agra Fort at the west bank of the Yamuna River. The Agra fort was built in the 16th century by Akbar and was completed by his grandson. Then you will visit Sikandra, the impressive grave of Akbar, the most powerful of all Mughal emperors that is located about 10 km away from the city. You will also visit Itmad-ud-daula (also known as baby Taj), situated on the other side of the river. Finally at sunset you will see Taj Mahal once again but this time from the other side of the river, from where most of the beautiful pictures are taken. You will then return to your hotel. An overnight stay in Agra.

Day 9From Agra to Khajuraho (2 hours by Train)

In the morning after an early breakfast, you will be transferred to Agra railway station to board the train Shatabadi Express for Jhansi. After your arrival in Jhansi, you will be met by one of our representatives and taken to Khajuraho by car. En route you will visit Orchha, which is famous for its 17th century forts and palaces. You will then continue your drive to Khajuraho. After your arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. An overnight stay in Khajuraho.

Day 10From Khajuraho to Bandhavgarh (275 km, 6 hours)

After breakfast, you will visit the East and West Group temples which houses artwork and sculptures about love making. The 1000-year-old temples are truly unique in the world. You will then drive to Bandhavgarh National Park, which has the highest density of tigers in India.
Bandhavgarh is the zone with most tigers on the Indian subcontinent. Easily accessible hilly areas and grasslands present themselves good opportunities to observe tiger in its natural habitat. Through the unusual density of the wild cats (tigers) in this zone, Bandhavgarh became world-famous. But also other species live in this unique national park: Gaur (Indian Bison), Leopards, four kinds of deer (barking, sambar, hog, black buck and chital), Nilgai (or Bluebull), wild pigs, Indian bears, rhesus monkeys, Langurs, jungle cats, hyenas, jackal, foxes and Dhole (Indian wild dogs).

Day 11Bandhavgarh (Safari to Jungle by Jeep and Elephant)

Day 14Explore! Varanasi

Early that morning you can enjoy a boat ride on the river Ganges. You can watch the golden sunrise and see hundreds of people worshiping and taking bath in the holy river. You will then return to your hotel for breakfast.
Afterwards you will tour the old city and visit temples including Kashi Hindu University where more than fifty thousand students from all over the world are enrolled. Also, visit the fort on the bank of the river Ganges. Most of the part of this fort is now converted into a beautiful museum.
After a short break you make an excursion to Sarnath (10 km), one of the head centers of Buddhism. Buddha preached his first sermon in Sarnath after he got enlightenment. Of the entire complex, the Dhamekh Stupa (built during the 5th and 6th centuries) and the Dharma Chakra are imposing buildings built to pay tribute to the place where Buddha preached his first disciples. You will also visit the Dharmarajika Stupa (273-326 BC) where Buddha meditated, and where the alleged bones of Buddha are said to be at rest. Afterwards visit Sarnath Museum.
Evening you will go Ganges and boat ride once again to watch the world famous religious ceremony on the ghats of river ganges. You will return to your hotel. An overnight stay in Varanasi.

Day 15Flight from Varanasi to Delhi

Today you will be transferred to airport for your flight to Delhi. After arrival you will take your connecting flight.
